The last day of May, hard to believe summer is almost here. Worry about how to keep Mama & Filly cool is already a concern. Mama seems to have trouble in the heat, with excessive sweating & weight loss. She's getting electrolytes twice daily & it's really helping. But what to do when the heat really gets here?

Filly is back wearing a splint & wrap on her left front. That leg is still too weak to be without support. The right leg is only wearing a tiny, wrap around, elbow brace that Dancing Winds was smart enough to think of for support. Way to go DW! Filly is so cute in the little black support wrap. It'll be so wonderful when her left leg can also only be in an elbow wrap. How easy that will make things. It will mean no more laying filly down to have her splints & wraps redone. It'll mean that CMK will be able to do all the care single handedly. Yahooo, can't wait for that day to come! In the mean time, Dancing Winds is the wonderful extra set of hands & we THANK DW.

Filly has a huge personality that has come out. She's become a PEST & insists on picking on everyone. She's pretty fearless & bold. Poor little girl has got to be bored locked up in a stall all the time with her boring mother. She enjoyed playing with an old soda bottle, having fun make it crinkle as she bit it. She was given a Jolly Ball but it's really too big for her. With Expo coming next week, I'll bet she gets one in her size. Oh is she going to be spoiled! It looks like the diarrhea is one again lessening. What a relief! The last day of May was a good day in the life of Mama, Filly & CMK.
