Fun Days

By Saturday morning the filly's diarrhea was worse. A trip to town was made to replenish the probiotic & Vetwrap supplies. Poor little girl with her dirty hinny, now covered in Desitin once again. After a few swishes of her tail she looked a bit like an appy. The good news was that she was otherwise normal in attitude & she wasn't acting sick at all. Maybe Mama is coming back into season & that's the cause of the diarrhea? Let's hope.

The wraps & splints were removed by 7:30am. Time to see how Filly would do with an entire day without support. It was such a surprise that by mid day she had gotten a personality & decided that CMK was her new toy & playmate. Until now she'd been standoffish, withdrawn & easily sent into flight if anyone went in the stall. Sat was a HUGE break though day. Filly started by sneaking up on CMK & nipping her. In no time at all Filly & CMK were involved in a scratching session. The silly little girl even tried to paw her new friend. Hmmmmm, behavior that wouldn't be so cute if she were bigger, but for now she's allowed to be cute. What a personality developed. It was such a fun day to have a filly who wanted to be friends. Her legs did fabulously well without the support of wraps & splints. It was decided to leave the splints off over night. The thought of depressing Filly by resplinting her just wasn't a good thought. It was so wonderful to see her bright & happy. So despite battling diarrhea again, Sat was a very fun, joyful day.
